Building-Planning Committees

Dear TCF Family,
While the exterior walls are up, the roof on, the HVAC guys working to get the heat and cooling installed, there is still much to do to be able to move in. Committees to handle the Technology design, color choices, flooring, lighting, sanctuary seating, kitchen design and layout, decorative items, and many other seemingly endless things have many people all diligently working towards getting us in our new building.

Please, please remember to pray. A specific item to pray for is for God to provide for our needs financially. We are nearing the end of the money that we took a loan for initially to get started and to where we are but we need more money to do two things, one, finish the building to get an occupancy permit, and two, to pay off our loan. Our heart's desire is to do this debt free and we still look to God to provide for us as we strive towards this goal that we believe He gave to TCF. While we have gotten a loan to be able to pay our contractor and the subs, we have always wanted to get into our building with no debt and be able to point heavenward and give God all the glory for His great provision.

You can also continue to pray for safety and protection. While we did have someone break-in a couple of weeks back, we are thankful that nothing major was broken or stolen and that no one was physically jeopardized or threatened.

Thank you for going on this journey with us as we progress towards completion of the new meeting place that will allow us to increase our ministry and service opportunities.
In the name of the King of Kings,
Graham

Deal on Tables

OK. So we already have another blessing to share. Lucy stumbled across a guy who had 50 plastic 6ft tables for sale on Craig's list. He purchased them brand new for $50 each ($2,500) and had only used them 3 weeks for a conference at Wake Forest University. We made the best offer for only $16 each ($800)...a 68% savings! Graham is going to meet him tonight and Wes will pick them up on Saturday and store them until the building is complete. These will be used for all the classrooms and fellowship hall. Thank you Lord.

Blessings and Miracles

I'm not a big blogger. In fact, this may be my first blog ever...pretty bad for someone that works in IT, huh! During our last Bible study, 40 days to a Generous Life, we were challenged to write down every time we receive a blessing from the Lord. It is amazing how many little blessings in life we let go right by us because we aren't watching for them. On this site we hope to chronicle all the ways (little and big) that God blesses our building project. I'm going to start by sharing a blessing that occurred yesterday, July 12. The Christian electrician who agreed to oversee our project was required to "upgrade" his license due to the size of this project (he used to do commercial but now works residential). This was turning out to be a huge obstacle due to the requirements that the state put before us. We were afraid that we may have to choose another electrician. Yesterday, George Byrum called me and shared that the city of Winston Salem inspection office re-estimated our project to be within the limits of the license that our electrician is certified for. When our electrician heard the news, he said it was nothing short of a miracle. Praise the Lord! Can't wait to see what He is going to do next!

HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD

Wow, I just found out about our new TCF Blog and I am thrilled to be able to share some thoughts with you. This morning, July 11, we had a wonderful time thinking about, singing to, and worshiping our great God. He loves us, seeks after us, and provides for us. How great is our God!

As we face this upcoming week let us be remembering how He had a plan of salvation before we were even born, in fact before humanity came into existence, God knew we would need salvation. Talk about His provision and planning. And we know that He is providing for us even now, our mere sustenance and life itself is fact of His power and love.

So this week as you are exercised to pray and lift up those involved with out building project, thank God right now for His provision. He provided our land, debt-free; the house at Darwick, debt-free; and now for the amazing ways we have seen Him move and provide as we begin to build. He is getting us started on our physical plant - and He is going to continue to provide, thus the name of this blog "YHWH-JIREH:God who provides." So stay tuned and look for regular updates from us as we see God move in power and provision. May His name be glorified in this whole project.
